Introduction
Deepak & Co. is a proudly owned food catering firm, founded in 1989 by Mr. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, with the mission to provide quality, hygienic food to passengers on one of the world's largest railway networks. Headquartered in Delhi, India, the company serves people across the country. Deepak & Co. is committed to its core philosophy, 'Quality above all,' aiming to deliver exceptional services to clients through a wide range of catering options, including Train Service, Food Plaza, Outdoor Catering, and Industrial Catering. We take pride in being a quality-conscious company, dedicated to offering authentic, high-quality food using only the freshest ingredients. Our Journey
Deepak & Co. was founded in 1989 by Mr. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, has around 33 years of extensive experience in catering. The successful history of Deepak & Co. with the start of stalls and train side vending from Roorkee in 1989. Deepak & Co has a proven track record in Outdoor Catering and canteen services, having partnered with esteemed organizations such as the Defense Ministry for services at DRDO Guest House and RAC (2001-02), Centre for Biochemical Technology, Delhi (2001-02), Police Training Centre, Jharoda Kalan, New Delhi, Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Delhi (2002-03), and Sushrut Trauma Centre, Delhi. The growth journey of Deepak & Co. continued with a significant expansion into pantry car services in 2007-08, starting with the Motihari Porbandar Express. By this milestone, our team had grown to a family of 1,200 dedicated staff members. Since then, we have successfully managed catering services in over 70 pantry cars across a diverse range of trains, consistently delivering quality service and enriching the travel experience for passengers. Our services are provided by an established team of professionals in accordance to industry-specified guidelines of quality. The catering services offered by us comprise of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Our menu is comprised of Authentic Indian and International Cuisines. Besides catering services, we are also provided bedroll service and housekeeping services in various trains in Indian railways. In 2013-14, Deepak & Co. started providing catering services for Indian Railways' elite class trains, including Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto Express trains. Some of the specific trains they catered to included: JAT-CNB Suvidha Express, ALD-LTT Duronto Express, Goa Rajdhani Express, Mumbai Rajdhani Express, ERS-LTT (Ernakulam to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus) Duronto Express, HWH-NDLS (Howrah to New Delhi) Duronto Express, SC-NZM (Secunderabad to Hazrat Nizamuddin) Duronto Express and many more. In 2014-15, Deepak & Co. expanded into the restaurant business by opening their first restaurant brand-chain, called Café Lite. Later in 2014, they launched another Food Plaza in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. Following this, two more opened Food Plazas, one in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and another in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This marked the company's diversification from catering services to establishing a presence in the restaurant sector. In 2018-19, Deepak & Co. further expanded portfolio by adding new, high-speed and premium trains, offering enhanced services to customers while promoting equal opportunities for female colleagues. The company began catering in the following trains: August Kranti (A. K.) Rajdhani Express NZM-JHS Gatimaan Express (Hazrat Nizamuddin to Jhansi) KRMI-LTT Tejas Express (Karwar to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus) AGTL-ANVT Tejas Express (Agartala to Anand Vihar Terminal) This expansion demonstrated Deepak & Co.'s commitment to improving passenger experiences on some of India’s most prestigious trains.
